The qualification includes common construction industry skillsas well as specialist bricklaying, blocklaying and masonry skills. Learners develop the ability to handle and prepare materials, use bricklaying and blocklaying tools and equipment, carry out masonry veneer and cavity brick construction, lay masonry wallsand corners, construct multi-thickness walls and piers, install flashings and damp-proof courses, construct masonry arches and curved walls, construct structural masonry systems and complete related construction tasks.

The CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying prepares graduates to undertake trade-level bricklaying and blocklaying work in residential and commercial construction environments.
