CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering provides a trade outcome in solid plastering for residential and commercial work. The qualification covers common skills for the construction industry as well as specialist solid plastering skills.Solid plasterers apply plaster, cement and other mixtures to walls to create smooth or decorative finishes to interior walls and to render exterior walls.
The qualification supports occupational outcomes such as Solid Plasterer and Renderer. The CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering prepares graduates to undertake trade-level solid plastering work in residential and commercial construction environments. Thequalification develops the knowledge and practical skills required to work safely and effectively in the construction industry and to carry out a range of solid plastering tasks under workplace conditions.
Graduates develop foundational construction skills such as workplace communication, work planning, measurements and calculations, plan interpretation, WHS compliance, sustainablework practices and use of construction documentation. These general construction skills are progressively combined with specialist solid plastering skills, including preparing surfaces, handling plastering materials, using tools and equipment, applying setcoats, applying float and render to straight and curved surfaces, applying trowelled texture coat finishes, and restoring or renovating solid plasterwork.
